Being an Ambassador speaks about your passion for Puerto Rico, while recognizing your outstanding performance in your field of work.At the Puerto Rico Convention Bureau, we value your experience, contacts and network of colleagues and business associates, and can partner with you in this extraordinary initiative.
Selection Criteria
Ambassadors must participate actively in at least one organization or association having U.S. or international chapters.
Ambassadors must know and/or have the ability to influence at least one congress, convention, meeting or exhibition that could be hosted in Puerto Rico.
Expectations
Ambassadors must deliver results. They are expected to:
Refer at least three meetings or conventions per year.
Refer at least three potential Ambassadors per year.
Know the services offered by the Puerto Rico Convention Bureau.
Know the Island's resources and competitive advantages as a meeting and convention destination.
Be involved in the process of selecting Puerto Rico as a destination before a bidding committee whenever necessary.
Participate in local tourism industry events.
Benefits
As an Ambassador, you receive recognition at the highest public levels by being a pro-active member of the business community. Opportunity to travel abroad representing Puerto Rico and the Bureau before a destination selection committee.

Distinguished Ambassador Award
The Program recognizes outstanding achievements from our Ambassadors with the Distinguished Ambassador Award, which rewards the dedication and commitment of these Ambassadors, and their ability to generate groups and conventions in a specific year.The award winner receives a beautiful medallion created exclusively for the Program, by the prestigious Puerto Rican artist Andrés Salas.
